the event of the (in-between) season!

Hello hello, dear survivors and dearly departed! We hope you've had a pleasant post-round rest and are ready and raring to go for round 2! As a quick reminder reserves for round 2 will be opening Saturday, May 6th but before that we have a special event all lined up for both sides of the divide.

This weekend (4/21-4/23) Deadland will be experiencing some changes to their environment. We’ll be contacting our dear departed players privately with the details shortly.

And don’t think we’ve forgotten about our tenacious crew of the Temerity! InterGal 7's solar streaming network has been alight with ads and news about Airlocked!’s upcoming third season. There’s no real usable information in them and all “casting” and location information is on strict lockdown to the public but in the past few days new advertisements about a “special event” have been popping up. The network is holding a special scavenger hunt for fans of their highest-rated series with a grand prize of a free six month subscription to their premium content, along with a juicy preview of the upcoming season. There’s also a strong emphasis on a special host for the event, which will be held in the Vegas Quadrant on what C.E.C.E. translates to be next weekend (4/28-4/30).

OOCly participation is entirely voluntary though if you choose not to/are unable to participate we do ask that you come up with where your character is and why they're not involved and let us know before the events. We three mods are super excited to run these events for you guys and we hope you all are too!

That's one option! One of the first obstacles that will be faced with is how to get into the scavenger hunt and you'll be able to decide among yourselves how you want to go about it.

Do we know what the actual timeframe for this is going to be?

It's going to be a three-part event similar to how the investigations+trials run but not really.

Friday is going to be an introduction to the event and a low-intensity day for IC plotting on board the Temerity. Saturday is going to be the ARG/scavenger hunt itself (this will be somewhat similar to a normal investigation) and Sunday is going to be about putting the clues together and confronting the "mastermind" of the event, i.e. the host.

But how it all plays out and what choices are made are all up to you guys. There's more than one way to solve the puzzle.

Okay I thought I'd already responded here but apparently not, so -- I'll be good for Friday and Saturday unless something suddenly comes up, but I work Sunday until about 4:30PM, so posting until that point will be pretty sparse on my part.
