Congratulations, Champions, and welcome to the official endgame for Round 3 of Airlocked! We have a few announcements for you with regard to how things are going to play out over the next few days.

As you’ve noticed, we've officially moved to a 2:1 OOC:IC day schedule for endgame, including the weekly log. This means that this week's weekly log only has Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and that ICly the final investigation itself will be on Wednesday. OOCly, you guys have Sunday-Thursday to tag the weekly log, and as usual the final investigation will go up on Friday 9/22.

There is no AC post this week and the final investigation will require 100% participation in order to pass the activity/OOC portion of the final investigation.

Secondly, please remember that this is the third chapter of a five-part story. As such, not all the questions that you have can or will be answered yet. While the final investigation will be fairly standard, the final trial won't be a literal mastermind trial but rather something completely different and more similar to what went down in round 1.

We hope that we can give you a satisfactory ending to this chapter. We’d also like to throw out an enormous THANK YOU to all our players this round! You guys have been a fantastic bunch and we had loads of fun with all of you! We hope to see our dead having a blast in Deadland and our survivors keeping on keeping on into Round 5!

The other order of business is Reserves for Round 4! The reserves will be Saturday, 10/7, with apps due on Friday, 10/13. We have 20 slots open and the game is officially slated to start Monday 10/16.

If you have any questions, comment below. Otherwise, we do ask that all survivors leave a comment acknowledging that they have read this post.

It's that time, everyone! Weekly check-in!

Living characters must submit two ten-comment threads with two different characters per week. Dead characters need only comment to check-in as a formality. Threads must be from week 4 or the afterparty log.

Check-in will close at 12 pm EST on Friday (9/15).

As a reminder we will also be awarding incentives as a reward for checking in on time! Submitting the minimum amount of comments for both threads (20 comments total) characters will receive one free item from the Benefactors. This is essentially the same as a free roll for the Benefactors' Hold. For another 30 comments (50 total), characters will receive a Sabotage/Boon. If you're a total all-star and turn in two threads that total 100 comments (or 50 from your character) in one week, you get a one-time Shield Token. This means if your character is approached with a Sabotage, you can spend the shield token to bounce that sabotage back on the character who targeted yours. Each character cannot hold more than one Shield Token at a time, and they cannot earn more than two Shield Tokens over the course of the game. The mods will reply to your AC with what rewards you have earned.

AC threads may come from the weekly mingle log or any player-posted logs from the check period, but since the trials have their own activity requirements they are ineligible for the activity check. When submitting your comments please add the number of total comments in the threads at the time of submission as this makes it quicker and easier for the mods to calculate if a Boon or Sabotage has been earned. On that note, remember that in order to earn a Boon or Sabotage you must have your AC in by 5 pm EST on the Tuesday of that week.

Failure to meet AC without informing the mods will result in a strike. Two weeks in a row will result in an automatic death roll. AC will go up on Sundays for the previous Sunday-Friday, and will close at 12:00 pm (EST) on the following Friday. Activity checks will be screened, to preserve some sense of secrecy for the distribution of Boons and Sabotages.

Good evening and welcome to the third round of Airlocked! Please take advantage of this opportunity to introduce yourself to your fellow players and share contact details. The HTML for creating plurk links is [user name=USERNAME site=plurk.com], with HTML brackets instead of square brackets.

Don't forget (if you haven't already) to do the following:

- Reply to this comment with your character journal.
- Fill out your Inmate Profile
- Respond to the taken characters page
- Join [community profile] theairlock and [community profile] wearethechampions, and proceed to introduce yourself.
- Feel free to join the new Airlocked discord chat!

We mods would also like to take this announcement to declare a small change to our regularly scheduled murder: because of the increased cast and the slightly shortened schedule (we're planning on four cases instead of six) we sadly have to eliminate the opt-out rule for this round. The FAQ will be updated to reflect this shortly. We'll also be more diligent about dishing out punishments this round so if you'd like to go to Florida but not be in a case we can accommodate that!

Hey, guys! The intermission event officially starts tomorrow and we hope you’re as hype as we are. You guys have been doing a pretty splendid job of ICly plotting out your plan but we’d still like you all to comment below with what team your character will be on and what your plans are individually and as a group. Feel free to use this post for more streamlined plotting as well!

Following tomorrow’s events the party will be split into these separate teams until the conclusion of the event. The NPCs currently chilling with you guys (Kip and Jamie) will be staying with the ship for the duration of the event. And a quick note if you're choosing to stay on the ship: we do have plans for you this weekend that will require some activity. So plan accordingly!

Q&A/Autograph Session Investigation
1. Yuuri
2. Choromatsu
3. Jane
4. Ardyn
5. Church
6. Junpei
7. The Doctor
8. Yurika
9. Xander

Staying on the Temerity
1. Jamie
2. Kip
3. Nari
4. Thomasin
5. Clarith
6. Natsuhi
7. Arianna
8. Togami
9. Queenie
10. Heart

If you want to be involved in the Q&A investigation but won’t be available for the second half of the event (Friday/Saturday) let us know in your comment. Even if you can’t be 100% involved this time around we still have plans for the overarching plot you can be involved in.

You guys have been a dream to mod for (so much so that it got to the point where WE didn't want anyone else to die) and we hope to see our dead having a blast in Deadland and our survivors keeping on keeping on into Round 5!

Additionally, since the Convention mini-event was such a blast, we have two more mini-events planned for the interim between rounds 2 and 3! The first one, which will start on Tuesday 7/11 and run through Sunday 7/15! If this seems a little bit short notice, well, never fear! The survivors do get a little bit of a break because this first event is for Deadland only! The next event, which will be the week after from Tuesday 7/18 through Sunday 7/22, will be for the combined survivor pools of Rounds 1 and 2. More information on these events will be available after the end of the round.

The other order of business is Reserves for Round 3! The reserves will be Saturday, 8/5, with apps due on Friday, 8/11. The game is officially slated to start Monday 8/14, and will run for seven weeks, with endgame weekend being the weekend of 9/29.

If you have any questions, comment below. Otherwise, we do ask that all 10 survivors leave a comment acknowledging that they have read this post.

Gooood evening, everyone! It's Monday night and do you know what time it is? That's right, it's time for an OOC Motive Announcement!

Tomorrow (6/6) around 1 pm PAL is going to initiate a motive where Champions' powers will be transferred to someone else for the remainder of the week. Due to the number of naturally non-powered characters in-game, not everyone will be receiving a powerswap this week and we are very sorry about that. In the future any motives requiring pre-motive announcements will hopefully be able to include everyone. We encourage players who are receiving powers to get in touch with the players of the characters who originated the powers if they're unclear of how they work!

And now [drum roll] the list!:

Ardyn is getting Arianna's powers.

Yuuri is getting Heart's powers.

Junpei is getting Ardyn's powers.

Rhys is unpowered.

Nari is unpowered.

Arianna is unpowered.

Church is unpowered.

Choromatsu is getting Nari's powers.

Heart is getting Church's powers.

Angel is unpowered.

Clarith is getting Mikaela's powers.

Nishitani is getting Queenie's powers.

Takumi is getting Mai's powers.

Mary is getting Roland's powers.

Roland is unpowered.

Queenie is getting Angel's powers.

Hello hello, darlings, the time has come for the first official Survivor Mini Event for Airlocked!

As mentioned in the original post, the event will be running at least from Friday, April 28th to Saturday, April 29th with Sunday, April 30th added on depending on how quickly participants finish Saturday’s objectives. We have a loosely set schedule for how things are going to be posted but the choices made and paths taken are in your hands.

Friday's objective is to develop a plan of attack and chart a course: the order in which you do this is up to you (you can, for instance, go straight for the objective and do the planning there). In the interest of not making you guys have to grind for money like a video game, we'll allow you to handwave having shilled merch and sold your dignity for cash over the last three weeks, to a max amount of 3000 credits (after prior expenses over those three weeks like food, fuel, getting the cameras removed, installing a kitchen, etc). The Temerity has not as yet managed to get a premium subscription for the bonus content, and now cash is running a little low.

Think of it like trying to get a smart TV installed in your car when you're a wanted fugitive on the run from a network that kidnapped you and forced your friends to kill each other - it'll take a lot of capital to find somebody who'll get the job done discreetly, but done well. But now everything that can be shilled (except for the former Champions' pride) has been shilled, and cashflow has run a little dry.

Good thing there's a Cash Prize for the contest winner(s), huh?

We will not be assigning teams, but we do ask that you make plans to split off into two teams and tell us those teams here once they've been decided upon. Anyone who does not tag into the Friday IC log at any point before Saturday's log is posted will be considered a non-participant. There's no participation requirement, or penalty for lack of participation, this is just so that we the mods will know who we can expect to be around.

Hello hello, dear survivors and dearly departed! We hope you've had a pleasant post-round rest and are ready and raring to go for round 2! As a quick reminder reserves for round 2 will be opening Saturday, May 6th but before that we have a special event all lined up for both sides of the divide.

This weekend (4/21-4/23) Deadland will be experiencing some changes to their environment. We’ll be contacting our dear departed players privately with the details shortly.

And don’t think we’ve forgotten about our tenacious crew of the Temerity! InterGal 7's solar streaming network has been alight with ads and news about Airlocked!’s upcoming third season. There’s no real usable information in them and all “casting” and location information is on strict lockdown to the public but in the past few days new advertisements about a “special event” have been popping up. The network is holding a special scavenger hunt for fans of their highest-rated series with a grand prize of a free six month subscription to their premium content, along with a juicy preview of the upcoming season. There’s also a strong emphasis on a special host for the event, which will be held in the Vegas Quadrant on what C.E.C.E. translates to be next weekend (4/28-4/30).

OOCly participation is entirely voluntary though if you choose not to/are unable to participate we do ask that you come up with where your character is and why they're not involved and let us know before the events. We three mods are super excited to run these events for you guys and we hope you all are too!

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below or ping us on plurk.

Hello, everyone! Since Round One is complete, we wanted to open up the floor for player feedback! What did you like about the way this round was run? Is there anything you think could be improved for the next time?

In addition, we wanted to announce a couple of changes that we're making for Round Two:

- Shield Tokens will now cost 100 AC comments rather than 200, to make them more accessible! The tokens will function in the same way, bouncing back attempted Sabotages, and a character still cannot have more than one at a time or more than two over the course of the round.

- Traditional personalized executions are coming back! Get your character's deepest darkest fears ready!

We’ve also got a few announcements about Round Two itself! We’ve discussed most of these on Plurk already, but to reiterate: Round Two will have a hard age cap of 18+. Characters in their late teens may be apped under a maturity clause, but these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Our reasoning for this is pretty simple: without Mr. White, there can be no Cutthroat Kitchen, so the producers will be moving to an exciting new theme for this season! Twenty contestants - who will find love, and who will find death?

We hope you’ll join us on this journey of joy, starting with our first rose ceremony on May 6th! In the meantime, don’t forget to stay tuned for a few special events!

Congratulations Champions, and welcome to the official endgame for Round 1 of Airlocked! We have a few announcements for you with regard to how things are going to play out over the next week.

First of all, we're officially moving to a 2:1 OOC:IC day schedule for endgame, including the weekly log. This means that this week's weekly log will only have Monday and Tuesday, and that ICly the final investigation itself will be on Wednesday. OOCly, players and characters will have Monday-Thursday to tag the weekly log, and as usual the final investigation will go up on Friday.

There will be no AC post this week, due to the isolated nature of the lockdown motive last week. However, the final investigation will require 100% participation in order to pass the activity/OOC portion of the final investigation.

Secondly, please remember that this is simply the first chapter of a five-part story. As such, not all the questions that you have can or will be answered yet. The final investigation, in fact, will be to do with questions that haven't really been asked yet at all! While the final investigation will be fairly standard, the final trial won't be a literal mastermind trial but rather a "trial" in the sense of a "test."

Despite that, we hope that we can give you a satisfactory ending to this chapter, and one that we hope will get you excited to bring back your survivors for Round 5, as well.

Also, as a reminder, the dead from this round will stay dead until round 5, where the survivors will be participating for all the marbles, so to speak.

We want to give a huge THANK YOU! To all of you, for making this round such a delight to moderate, and for pulling up your protagonist pants and pulling off a miracle.

We (Lynny and Ri) would also like to thank Lu for running deadland and for being a huge huge huge help with all the behind the scenes stuff (as well as painful Softer World edits). This game wouldn't be nearly what it has been without her. All hail the skeleton queen!

As a final reminder, the last day for benefactor regains is Monday, 3/27. All items obtained will not be available immediately on Wednesday morning, however, we the mods will make note of when and where they will appear.

If you have any questions, comment below. Otherwise, we do ask that all 7 survivors leave a comment acknowledging that they have read this post.
